Patrol

The Patrol Division is the backbone of the Police Department and operates 24/7. The division operates under the direction of a Captain who reports directly to the Chief of Police.

At all hours of the day, weekends, and holidays, officers patrol their assigned districts, respond to calls, issue traffic citations, arrest misdemeanor and felony suspects, perform various public service functions, and document all activities. When officers are not responding to criminal activity and other calls for service, their time is spent in preventive patrol.
