The Mayor shall nominate for confirmation by the City Council a Chief Administrative Officer. This shall be an unclassified employee position. The Chief Administrative Officer will serve as executive and administrative assistant to the Mayor, performing such duties as assigned by the Mayor.
Shane Cheatham currently serves as the City of Bossier City's Chief Administrative Officer. He was appointed to this position on January 20th, 2026.
With extensive experience in state and local government, Cheatham previously served as a Regional Director for the Governor’s Office, coordinating across multiple parishes to advance infrastructure, economic development, and community initiatives. His background includes intergovernmental relations, emergency management coordination, and large-scale project oversight.
