[ARCHIVED] Bossier City Police Investigating Attempted ATM Burglary

BCPD5D21

Around 5:00 a.m. this morning, July 27, 2020, the Bossier City Police Department responded to the Chase Bank at 4330 Barksdale Boulevard in reference to an attempted ATM burglary. Officers received information regarding a suspect vehicle on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway and initiated a vehicle stop. The driver of the vehicle, a black JEEP Liberty displaying temporary tag number 58108W5, failed to pull over. Officers pursued the vehicle onto I-20, into Caddo Parish, and into Texas. Multiple law enforcement agencies in Louisiana and Texas assisted Bossier City police in working to attempt to stop the vehicle. However, the suspects were not apprehended.

During the investigation, officers found that three suspects used a pick-up truck to pull an automated teller machine from its housing leaving the ATM on the ground. No money was stolen. The suspects were not able to gain access to the ATM and fled the scene in another vehicle, the black JEEP Liberty.

Detectives are continuing the investigation.
