The City of Bossier City Utilities Department will flush hydrants Monday night, June 29 in the Golden Meadows subdivision in south Bossier City as part of on-going preventative maintenance. Crews will begin flushing hydrants at approximately 10 p.m. The process is expected to take a few hours.

When this type of activity is performed the flow of water can stir up sediment in the water lines. Therefore the city recommends that residents in the Golden Meadows subdivision not wash clothing while the lines are being flushed since any sediment that is stirred up could stain clothing. The sediment poses no health risk.
