The Bossier City Fire Department responded to a fire this afternoon in the 1000 block of Traffic Street that heavily damaged a house.

The call came in at approximately 2:15 p.m. The first engine company arrived on scene in just over three minutes from the time its crew was dispatched and found flames and heavy smoke coming from the single story wood framed house. A man and two boys, ages 2 and 4, were inside the home at the time of the fire. Each escaped without injury.

The fire appears to have started in a bedroom and spread quickly throughout much of the house. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
