Bossier City police are investigating a shooting that occurred this evening outside an apartment building at the Village Square Apartments in the 2600 block of Village Lane.

Police and fire department personnel were called to the scene at approximately 6:15 p.m. When they arrived they found 41-year old Freddie Tony lying next to a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his upper leg near the hip. BCFD personnel transported Tony to LSU Hospital in Shreveport with what is believed to be a non-life threatening wound.

Bossier City detectives have secured an arrest warrant for the suspect, 29-year old Fernando Xavier Hall for aggravated second degree battery. Hall fled the scene on foot after the shooting. An investigation determined the shooting occurred as the result of an argument between the two men.

Hall is a black male, 5'5" tall and 160 pounds. Anyone who has information about Hall's whereabouts is asked to call Bossier City police at (318) 741-8605.
