Bossier City Police Chief Mike Halphen says officers arrested a Shreveport man last night after he robbed a store while armed with a machete. 28-year old Colby Seth Friedman is charged with armed robbery for holding up the Family Dollar Store in the 2200 block of East Texas Street just before 8 p.m. Monday.

After entering the store Friedman approached a cashier and demanded $20 from out of the register. The cashier complied and Friedman exited the store on foot. Upon further investigation police were able to locate Friedman three hours later just down the street from the crime scene at the Siesta Motel in the 2500 of East Texas where he had been staying in a room.

Friedman was taken into custody and booked into the Bossier City Jail. He was transferred this morning to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
