The Bossier City Fire Department responded to a fire today in the 2900 block of Oliver Street that heavily damaged a home.
A neighbor reported the fire just after noon. The first engine crew arrived on the scene within three minutes and found flames and heavy smoke coming from out of a front window. Firefighters made entry to the home to fight the fire which had spread to the attic. Crews conducted a search of the house but found no one inside. It was later determined the family that lived there was not a home at the time of the fire.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control. The cause remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
