A police manhunt in a Bossier City neighborhood has resulted in the arrest of a man on a laundry list of criminal charges along with the seizure of drugs and firearms that were in his possession.

Bossier City patrol officers arrested Antonio Taylor, 30, of Bossier City after they were initially called to the Village Square Apartments in the 2600 block of Village Lane Wednesday afternoon in reference to Taylor beating up a female relative of his girlfriend's while armed with a firearm. Taylor then fled the scene in a motor vehicle. The victim was not seriously hurt.

A short time later police located Taylor's vehicle at Zack's River Village Mobile Home Park in the 2300 block of Barksdale Boulevard. When officers attempted to take Taylor into custody, he fled on foot while carrying a backpack. Officers gave chase and eventually caught up with Taylor who was found hiding in the backyard of a home in the 2300 block of Julia Street.

Officers later recovered Taylor's backpack that he had ditched in the backyard of a nearby house. The backpack contained two firearms - one of which was loaded - one pound of suspected marijuana, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and a scale. Police also seized $2249 that Taylor had in his possession.

Taylor was subsequently booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of simple battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and driving with a suspended license.

Taylor was also found to have two outstanding arrest warrants out of DeSoto Parish and Montgomery County, Texas.
