A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 for Bossier City's second alternative fuel station located at 4520 Barksdale Boulevard.

Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Secretary Scott Angelle is scheduled to join Mayor Lorenz Walker and members of the Bossier City Council in officially opening the city's second fuel station to offer cleaner burning compressed natural gas and ethanol based E85, also known as Flex Fuel, to the public for purchase. The station will also be utilized to fuel a number of Bossier City government vehicles.

Bossier City opened its first alternative fuel station at 2580 East Texas Street in October of 2010 as part of the city's efforts to "Go Green" and reduce motor vehicle emissions.
