CHIEF McWILLIAMS PROMOTES FIVE OFFICERS - January 11, 2012

Bossier City Chief of Police Shane McWilliams today announced the promotions of five officers. Chief McWilliams made the promotions this morning during a ceremony at the Bossier City Police Department with numerous family members and department personnel in attendance.

  • Kevin Humphrey was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Humphries has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 1993 and is assigned to the Internal Affairs Division.
  • Chris Estess was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Estess has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 1998 and is assigned to the K-9 unit.
  • Jeremy Kennedy was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Kennedy has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 1998 and serves as the department's representative on the United States Marshal's Violent Fugitive Task Force.
  • Murray Wells was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Wells has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 1998 and is assigned to the Training Division.
  • Darren Barclay was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Barclay has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 1999 and is assigned as supervisor of the Violent Crimes Unit.
