Members of the Bossier City Fire Department will join the Shreveport Fire Department along with other northwest Louisiana fire agencies in the American Heart Association's annual "Golden Hour" fundraiser on Saturday October 8, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

During that time BCFD personnel will be stationed at street intersections across the city collecting money for the American Heart Association.

The Golden Hour fundraiser is organized by Shreveport Fire Captain Frederick Williams, a heart attack survivor, to help fun educational programs and research provided by the American Heart Association.
