History
On June 23, 1925 some would say that was the night that "Bossier Burned Down." As two separate fires that night destroyed many business, homes and properties. It made the citizens of Bossier City realize that improvements needed to be made. The Bossier City volunteer Fire Dept was organized in 1926 with the fire city councilmen served as the first volunteer firefighters. The first fire station was built in 1928 on Cane St. which is not Barksdale Blvd. The Bossier City Volunteer Fire Dept was reorganized in 1929 with NG Huff serving as the first Fire Chief.

In 1982 Fire Chief FM Smith retired and JT Wallace Sr. was named the new fire chief.
