Shirley Jane Cox Delaney

Ms. Delaney entered the US Air Force in 1954 as a flight nurse on medical evacuation missions in remote locations during the Pacific Theater. She did tours of duty at Air Force bases around the world, ending as a Lt. Col. and Chief of Nursing at Barksdale AFB. She then served the community as an educator and director for the American Cancer Society. For these and many other roles, she was featured by the Shreveport Times as a “Good Neighbor”
