Rita S Keoun

“Miss Rita” was a beloved second grade teacher in her hometown of Plain Dealing. She went back to school herself every summer and did not retire until her late 60’s. She also served on the Bossier Parish Library Board for over 40 years, most of that time as president, and did not miss a single meeting. The Louisiana Library Association named her Outstanding Library Trustee and she was also recognized by the state legislature, the governor’s office and the police jury.
