Lettie VanLandingham

Ms. VanLandingham pioneered home demonstration work in Bossier Parish, teaching and organizing rural girls (through 4-H) and women in home economic skills, particularly food production and preservation. Especially important during the Depression and World War II, 23 canning centers were built and operated under her supervision. She was also involved with the Red Cross and historic preservation.
