Charlotte Mitchell

Ms. Mitchell spent 30 years as a teacher, supervisor and advocate of quality education for African-American children. She served as a Parish “Jeanes Supervisor” (named for the Quaker woman who funded this program) to build up schools in all aspects, including the physical plant, the faculty and the instruction for black children across the Parish.
